Company CDL-A Drivers Who Book Their Own Freight

Miller 66 is hiring experienced Class A drivers out of our yard on Brogdon Road in Suwanee, and we are looking for drivers who want to run their own freight without owning the truck. We own the tractor and the trailer and we pay every operating expense on them.

You book direct off the entire national spot market, negotiate your own rates with the brokers, and keep up to 30% of the gross. Keep the truck grossing $4,500 to $5,000 a week and that is $1,600 to $2,150 a week in your pocket. You pick the lanes. You pick the home time. You never see a truck payment, a repair bill or a tow bill.

  • Up to 30% of the Gross: Paid same day, on the rate the broker actually sent.
  • $1,600 to $2,150 a Week: Take home, on a truck grossing $4,500 to $5,000.
  • You Book the Freight: The whole national spot market, not a company board.
  • You See the Original Rate Confirmation: Exactly as the broker sent it.
  • No Truck Payment. Ever: Miller 66 owns the truck and pays every expense on it.
  • We Do Not Lease Trucks to Drivers: This is a company driver seat, not a lease purchase.
  • Fuel Bonus: $50 to $60 a week.
  • Safety Bonus: $200 a month, up to $400 a month in bonuses in total.
  • Your Lanes, Your Home Time: Every state except California. You decide.
  • New Model Cascadias: 2020 to 2027, 72 inch sleeper, APU.
  • Wabash Duraplate Dry Vans: Kept in the yard on Brogdon Road, Suwanee.
  • Ten Years Running: 23 trucks. MC 024457 · DOT 3001747.

Why drive for us

Why drive for Miller 66?

Miller 66 has run out of Suwanee for ten years, and the whole company is built on one idea: a driver should be able to get the freedom of running their own freight without carrying the cost of owning a truck. Twenty three trucks, one yard on Brogdon Road, and an owner you can get on the phone. Four drivers were hired last year. Four are still driving.

1

You book it. Ask which board.

When a carrier says you can book your own loads, most of them mean their own board, and you pick from freight that carrier already has. Miller 66 gives drivers the entire national freight spot market. You negotiate and book direct with the brokers.

2

You see the original rate confirmation.

Some carriers reformat the rate confirmation before the driver sees it, so the percentage gets worked out off a smaller number. At Miller 66 the driver sees every original rate confirmation, sent directly from the broker.

3

We do not lease trucks to drivers.

There is no lease purchase here and there never will be. The truck stays ours, the payment stays ours, and the repair bill stays ours. If you have owned a truck before, you already know exactly what that is worth.

4

Your lanes and your home time.

You are running every state except California and you are choosing the loads, so the map and the calendar are yours. Nobody at Miller 66 is going to book you into a lane you did not pick.

What comes out

$91 a month for occupational accident insurance. Parking is covered up to $100 a month.

What you keep
